LCAP Parent & Student Committees
Purpose:
The purpose of the LCAP Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) and the Student Advisory Committees (SACs) is to ensure that the voices of families and students meaningfully inform the district’s Local Control and Accountability Plan.
The LCAP Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) provides parents and guardians with a formal opportunity to review, discuss, and offer feedback on LCAP goals, actions, and expenditures. The committee helps ensure the LCAP reflects family priorities, addresses the needs of all students, and meets state requirements for stakeholder engagement. The PAC meets virtually four times per year.
The Student Advisory Committees (SACs) provide a structured forum for students to share their experiences, perspectives, and priorities related to teaching, learning, school climate, and support services. Their input helps the district understand how LCAP actions are experienced at the school level and ensures student voice is reflected in planning and decision-making. The MCMS and OPHS student committees meet four times per year during lunch.
Together, the PAC and SACs strengthen transparency, equity, and continuous improvement by grounding the LCAP in authentic parent and student feedback.
